LUCT is hiring a Community Energy Officer. Application deadline: Friday 4th April 2025.

The Highland Energy Community Partnership (HECP) is a new programme funded by The National Lottery Community Fund. It is coordinated by environmental charity Changeworks, in partnership with six local community partners in the Highlands including Lochbroom and Ullapool Community Trust.

The LUCT Energy Officer role is funded through the HECP. Our Energy Officer will deliver a wide range of activities within our communities, raising awareness around home energy efficiency, renewable energy and affordable warmth. Our Energy Officer will also offer clear, impartial advice to householders, and will support householders seeking to undertake retrofit measures.

Our Energy Officer will also engage in HECP-wide activities, coordinating in-person and online events, fostering collaboration and exchange of best practice, and contributing to the expansion of the Highland-wide installer supply chain.

All required training relating to home energy efficiency will be given.

Hours: 28 hours per week, fixed term for 4½ years commencing 1st July 2025

Salary: £30,000 pro rata, i.e. £24,000 p.a

Location: Ullapool and Lochbroom, Wester Ross (working remotely and in person)
